STEM Matters NYC Programs: NYCCAAM Internship

Location: NYC Center for Aerospace and Applied Mathematics, Lower East Side, Manhattan

Are you interested in aeronautics, astronomy, robotics, 3D printing, and enjoy working with kids? Then the Aerospace Internship is for you! The NYC Center for Aerospace and Applied Mathematics (NYCCAAM) is looking for responsible, motivated, and energetic high school students to participate in an exciting internship opportunity.  Aerospace Interns will immerse themselves in every aspect of the summer camp programs, working with elementary and middle school campers using LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robotic kits, flight simulators, and 3D design software. 

Interns will create and complete a culminating project at the end of their internship and receive a certificate acknowledging and verifying their contributions to NYCCAAM at the conclusion of the internship. Interns are provided a daily MetroCard for travel to and from NYCCAAM.

Apply for one of the following sessions:

  • Program A: Monday-Friday from Monday, July 11-Friday, July 22, 2022
  • Program B: Monday-Friday from Monday, July 25-Friday, August 5, 2022

Times for both programs: 9:00am-3:00pm

Intern Orientation: Tuesday, June 28, 2020 from 9:00am-1:00pm


Interviews: If you are selected as a finalist, you will be invited for an interview at NYCCAAM before or after school between Monday, April 25 through Friday, April 29,2022. Interviews are by invite ONLY for selected finalists.
