High School Leadership Institute: Advocacy Posters

The Service in Schools (SIS) Virtual Leadership Institute is an exciting opportunity for NYC public high school students in grades 10-12 to build their leadership skills over the course of a five-day Institute during spring break and in after-school virtual sessions throughout the spring. During these sessions, students worked in small groups to learn about and develop virtual lessons on animal welfare, disability rights, fast fashion, and housing and homelessness. Participating high school student leaders facilitated these lessons for students in grades 3-5 at the Virtual Youth Service Summit. In addition, student leaders created advocacy posters to raise awareness about these topics, using advertising techniques they learned from The Paley Center for Media.
