Disability Rights

Disability refers to a wide range of physical and mental impairments that limit a person's ability to do an activity and/or interact with others. Nearly 1 million people in NYC have disabilities, including almost 350,000 young people. 

Choose from the texts below to begin to understand the variety of experiences and challenges facing disabled youth and gain insight on how everyone can work to increase accessibility and acceptance.
