Advocacy Posters

The SIS Leadership Institute is a leadership and youth service program for NYC public schools students in grades 10-12. It consists of a five-day in-person institute during spring break, two virtual after-school sessions, and a virtual lesson with an elementary school class during late spring 2022. 

During the spring break institute, student leaders worked in small groups to learn about topics such as Animal WelfareDisability Rights, Fast Fashion and the Environment, and Housing and Homelessness and developed live virtual lessons to lead for students in grades 3-5 as part of the Virtual Youth Service Summit. In addition, student leaders created advocacy posters to raise awareness about these topics, using advertising techniques they learned from The Paley Center for Media. View student posters below.
