Do you enjoy working with elementary and middle school age students? Are you interested in aeronautics, space flight, astronomy, robotics, and 3D printing? The NYC Center for Aerospace and Applied Mathematics (NYCCAAM) is looking for responsible, motivated, and energetic high school students to be Aerospace Camp Teaching Assistants. Get immersed in every aspect of Aerospace Camp, working with campers in grades 5-7 using LEGO SPIKE Prime robotic kits, flight simulators, and 3D design software. At the conclusion of the program, Teaching Assistants will work together, using newly honed special skills and knowledge, to develop and lead a space or flight-themed camp lesson. Participants receive a daily MetroCard for travel to/from NYCCAAM.
Orientation: Friday, June 6, 2024, 9:00am-1:00pm
Interviews: If you are selected as a finalist, you will be invited for an interview at NYCCAAM before or after school after your application has been submitted and reviewed by our committee. Interviews are by invite ONLY for selected finalists.
